I am back

Hi guys
I have reopened my stores.  No change to my jaw problem, the weather is getting warmer. I will be putting up my new range of jewellery and will be making more of chic & stylish greeting cards before Christmas comes.  I am very busy with my university studies, it has been hard to get back to the routine of uni life.

For a sad note, I am sorry that I have closed my Etsy stores for a period due to a health difficulty.  My jaw “TMJ” has been a real #*@% pain and the cold winter weather in Brisbane aggravates it. :(   My sincere apologies for any inconvenience this temporary close in business may cause.  I will reopen in a couple of weeks or sooner.

Shades of the Oceans

My theme for this month is focused on the fresh and radiant colours of the oceans that look so beautiful when they are worn.  I felt that it would be an exceptional subject for my Etsy Showcase.  Even though these colours are not in my wardrobe very much as others suit me better, I can appreciate them.  I began this showcase drifting with the soft, delicate, and vibrant shades towards deep dark hues, like the bottom of the ocean, cool aquamarines, treasured turquoises, sophisticated teals, vigorous bright blues and introspective navy to the affable deep dark blues.

The pale green blues to the deep-sea blues of the ocean are refreshing, calming and cool colours.  The colours are mindful of the refreshing and replenishing feelings of an exhilarating splash in cool water on a bright hot sunny day or a soothing stroll on a moonlit beach. You must look at these fantastic stores; they have lots more amazing items in their collections.

My Personal Treasury Gallery

I am very pleased with Etsy's new, Treasury East! This treasury is a great improvement. Treasury East has no limit on the number of Treasuries allowed, or on the number of Treasuries per user, unlimited lifetime of Treasuries, no limit on the number of comments allowed!

You run your own permanent personal gallery space, where you are able to display carefully selected and arranged collections of amazing items. I think I am becoming another devotee, so far I am running 8 treasuries. I have a permanent go-to side of  my blog.

Etsy's new, Treasury East

I was told about the new treasury, Treasury East. Etsy admins are picking treasuries to be on the front page from the new treasury. Cross my fingers and see if my collection is picked!  For another plus side the new treasury has no limits and no expiration time.  So I did the same collection with a couple more added, this treasury has more sections for you to include.

I am delighted; I was able grab another Etsy Treasury West again! I just tried to show this colour's emotion and sensation of the beautiful hues it evokes, sweet, softness and warmth. Sadly Etsy's Treasuries only go for a couple of days. :(

Shades of Soft Orange

My theme for this month is the gentle luminosity of the colour orange. I felt that it would be a lovely subject for my Etsy Showcase. The lightest and most delicate of all the orange shades are the pastels. Delightful light colours of orange such as Peach, Apricot, Papaya Whip, Persian Orange, Salmon and Coral are most delicately refreshing and pleasing colours that will compliment your wardrobe or décor.

Orange and peach are popular colours for weddings because of the joyful and sweet feelings they convey and also because a swathe of a delicate light apricot fabric similar to a chiffon can be a really superb look. While Peach is soft, sunny and warm, a softer peach shade that contains more white is considered to hold more feminine significance.

Your energy levels are high, and you are sometimes restless. You have a forceful will and tend to be active and competitive. You are also excitable and can seek domination over the others. “

Shades of Pastel

I thought the sweet fragility of pastel colours would be a pleasant theme for my Etsy Showcase. Pastels are the northern season region’s biggest colour palette trend right how. Cute candy colours are the perfect hue to get you ready to burst into spring. The lightest and most delicate of all the colour palettes is the pastels. Delightful light engaging colours balanced and mixed in both warm and cool hues, are the most exquisitely, refreshing and pleasing colours.

I am still here!

I'm back and I know that my posting has been a bit lame recently, sorryyyyy. For the past 3 months I have been dealing with a dislocated disc in my jaw (Temporomandibular Joint “TMJ”). It has been a real @#*$ pain in the rear, I have not been able to get much sleep (4hrs if lucky). I am seeing a good physio, her treatments have been helping and the dislocation has been corrected. However, the jarring and the pain are still there. I might need the joint cartilage repaired, maybe need surgery HOPE NOT but enough of my bitching.

I have been trying to keep my spirits up and keep the depression at bay (keep the ugly monster away LOL)! Things took on an upswing with a couple of custom orders, a custom hand made bridal card and two pairs of my Cool Peacock earrings. It was real fun and challenging to make a replica of a bridal grown for my customer. I have also been focusing on making new jewellery styles that are in a little more dignified and fresh range, for special occasions specifically aiming towards wedding jewellery, custom orders and multiples as well. Hope to have all the new pieces uploaded in the next couple of weeks or sooner in my Diamentina Designs store.


As well, it is a little crazy here right now that there is a slight redecorating going on in the lounge room to make room for a new piece of furniture; I have lost my working space to the overflow. In a couple of days I will be doing another colour theme, I feel that pastel would be a cheerful and charming colour choice to use, for spring for my northern readers and endearing for my Australian readers. It is autumn time here and the weather has been a little damp and cool. In spite of the hurdles I will be trying to put more interesting things in my blog, before I go back to university in August.

Shades of Red

Hi Guys, I must say it is about time for me to do another Etsy Showcase, for the first one for this year I believe red is a good theme choice! Besides as you know Valentines Day is coming soon! Red has been a constant in my life and I think I was born to be dressed in red! There is a picture of me wearing a red dress at a very young age. From the start I think my mum put me in red almost from the day I was born, at least at 18 months old, my big sister got into the act and bought me this cute dress. The shades of red I have picked that I am most attracted to are deep dark reds blood, garnet, and burgundy through to the bright reds like cherry reds then to pinkish reds.

When I am doing these themes I like to find objects I would like to have or that are appealing pieces. I like them to interest my readers as well. You must look at these wonderful stores; they have lots more delightful items in their collections.
